As a working mom with three children, I have strived to find simple, efficient ways to make old fashioned goodies on a busy schedule.  I have always enjoyed being in the kitchen, baking up something that brings great pleasure to those I love. 

With a huge collection of cookbooks, as well as dozens of collected recipes I have spent many hours trying, testing and fine tuning recipes for consistent results.  For many busy men and women, the time needed to find and try a recipe,  is a precious commodity, especially when you have no way of knowing which recipes will actually work, look and taste the way they are represented.  When you don’t have the time to test them out it can be a difficult decision. How do you know which recipes are the best.   

Now with all the sites available on the web, you have hundreds more recipes to sift thru. They promise “quick, easy and tasty” but fail to deliver on any one of those promises.  The ingredients are many times things that people don’t keep on hand and the instructions can be hard to follow.  Or they are quick and easy and taste awful.  Other sites promise tried and true recipes but you have to pay to access the information or click on link after link after link to try and find them. 

It shouldn’t be that hard.  I always thought that the internet was supposed to make life easier, but when it takes hours of searching to find what you need, by the time you get there, you have run out of time. If you are like me, as soon as you sit down at the computer, suddenly everyone demands attention. Many times we just want to lay our hands on that special something mom or grandma used to make and it is quite frustrating when we can’t find it.  My mom once said, “We want to taste a memory”.
